Michael Seaton has been living real estate since he was 6yrs old. It was hard to avoid with both parents being agents in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, and it became even more ingrained into his life when they moved into one of the subdivisions that Dad was marketing. Guess whose house became the model and was on-tour every weekend? That makes it kinda tough to watch cartoons in peace with people walking over top of you all morning…
After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Business/Marketing, Michael finished working with West Penn Financial (a mortgage brokerage) before moving south to Charlotte, NC, in the spring of ’94. His first job with a restaurant marketing firm helped him learn much about the geography of the city and dealing with people (both of which assisted with the jump into real estate). The following summer he signed-on with Prudential Carolinas Realty at their Myers Park office.
As his parents had been with a Pittsburgh REMAX franschise since 1991, he always knew that he would aim towards that model of real estate sales. Michael moved to REMAX in November of 2000 and has never looked back. He received RE/MAX’s Hall Of Fame Award by 2009 and has won the coveted Platinum Club Award numerous times.
Seaton has been on the board of the Sedgefield Neighbhorhood Association since 1998 and has served as its Vice President (1 term), Treasurer (2 terms) and President (2 terms). Currently, he plays an integral role with procuring sponsorships for “Sedgefest”, Sedgefield’s annual neighborhood festival.
He and his wife, Jennifer, live on a half-acre in Sedgefield, a heavily-treed neighborhood that is adjacent to South End, with their 3 cats, 9 koi and 6 chickens. When not assisting his clients with their real estate needs, you can find him sampling craft brews at local venues, hiking/fishing in the mountains of North Carolina or possibly listening to a Pittsburgh Penguins game while working in the yard.
